2013 Massachusetts Middle School
5th Annual Cross Country Invitational
Saturday, November 2, 2013
Ponkapoag Course, (back course) Canton MA
Sponsored by the Boston Athletic Association
Information as of October 8
USA Track & Field - New England will host the fifth annual Massachusetts Middle School Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, November 3, 2012.
There is no organization that deals with middle school athletics in Massachusetts.
This meet, presented by USA Track & Field - New England, providesa capstone to the middle school season.
The meet will run at a new cross country course on the back side of Ponkapoag Golf Course #2 behind Massasoit Community College in 2013.
The course is easily accessible off of Rt I-93 (Rt 138 South exit to Randolph St). It is NOT accessible through the golf course entrance.
DO NOT GO TO THE GOLF CLUB
This meet provides an opportunity for middle school runners in grades 5-8.
It is open to all schools - public, parochial, private, and charter - and home schoolers in those grades may compete.
This is a school-based competition, not club-based; runners' affiliations will be listed as the school they attend.
The format provides multiple races - boys and girls races for these divisions: grades 5/6, grade 7, grade 8, and a team 'championship' race.
There will be only one race planned per division each for both boys and girls. If needed, a second team race will evenly divide numbers.
The 2013 meet is sponsored by the Boston Athletic Association. Participants will receive a commemorative item
We appreciate your interest in and support of this continually-growing event.
