Snaring his fourth N.E. foot racing title in the space of six weeks,
sailorman Charlie Robbins whooped over the 6 1/2 miles course at
Franklin Park yesterday to easiliy win the cross-country Championship.
Robbins, former U.of Conn. runner, finished in 34m. 36 2-5s, defeating
Jack Serrie of Tech by more than a minute.  Tech won the team title,
Serrie, runnerup, and Dick Poorman, third, pacing the squad.
Other top men in order were Tony Medeiros, North Medford; Jack Ray, Tech;
Ted Horne NYMA; Loius Young, North Medford; Henry Lesage, North Medford;
Gerald Goldie,Tech, and George Caldwell, NYMA.
Robbins, favorite to win the national marathon at Yonkers next week,
has recently won the N.E. 20, 25, and 30-kilometer runs.
