BOSTON PREPS FOR INDOOR NATIONALSThe Reggie Lewis Track and Athletic Center, which has produced nearly 200 masters World and US indoor records in the past seven years, is expected to see a continuation of alterations of the record book in 2004 as 800 competitors are expected for the event. The meet will be hosted and managed by the New England Association of USATF, reprising their role in the 1998, 2000, 2002, and 2003 Indoor Nationals. The 2004 meet presents the tenth time that the Championships are held in New England, the first time being in 1975 (Tufts University, Medford MA) with approximately 100 participants. In 1981, about 200 competitors met at M.I.T. in Cambridge MA. Meet management in 1997, 1999, and 2001 was by TRACS, Inc. In 1998, the fourth year of competition in Boston and first organized by the New England Association of USA Track & Field, the meet had a record 817 entrants. USA Track & Field - New England.
